Podcast: Content Components

What? 🤔

Content Components is a single topic podcast hosted by Patrick Bosek, Jarod Sickler, and Ren Taylor. Each week, they dive into snackable content strategy conversations in 15 minutes. Unstructured talks about structured content that offer refreshing takes on an industry due for a little refreshment. Weekly episodes, fresh every Tuesday morning, wherever you get your podcasts!

Why? 🤷‍♀️

Content industry topics are huge and they’re tackled in huge podcast episodes. But, if you’re like us, the time commitment for these mammoth episodes can be a lot. We aim to break these topics into short, digestible morsels to pick at while you’re making dinner, having your morning coffee, or just vibing. This show adds levity to learning, a sprinkle of that smirk-inducing spice to keep your attention, teach you something new, and leave you hungry for more.

Put Some Faces To The Voices 👋 🤓

Patrick Bosek

Patrick is Co-Founder and CEO of Heretto. Patrick has worked on a wide range of projects all focused on improving authoring, production, and distribution of content. Most recently, his primary focus has been empowering Heretto users and generally advancing the product documentation industry.

Patrick is a software industry professional specializing in developing, productizing, and solving problems with product content software. He is a skilled developer, thoughtful manager, and passionate customer advocate.

When not doing all that, he can be found cruising around on his motorcycle, climbing something dangerous, or crafting the perfect cup of coffee, but definitely not all three at the same time. He lives in Rochester, NY with his son Ezra and dog Lloyd.

Jarod Sickler

Jarod oversees Heretto’s documentation site and is involved in managing complex customer implementations of Heretto.

Simultaneously, he’s a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at the University of Rochester, specializing in metaphysics and epistemology. His dissertation focuses on the role and importance of the grounding relation in the overall metaphysical structure of epistemic justification. Slowly but surely, he’s making progress on his thesis. If you’re in the market for an effective sleep aid, he’ll happily share his research with you.

Whether it’s in his research, documentation, or customer implementations, Jarod enjoys thinking through complex problems and finding the simplest and yet most powerful solution.

In his spare time, Jarod tries to convince his kids that he’s still cool. They aren’t buying it.

Tim Ludwig

Tim is the questioner. Jarod and Patrick choose the topic, then they don’t see the questions Tim comes up with until they record. Genuine questions to genuine answers. Live. You can probably tell by some of the meandering responses. For which none of them will apologize.

Tim writes for Heretto about all things content. His background in writing combined with a passionate interest in technology has made him a curious explorer of an industry and media landscape that’s always in flux. He unapologetically uses romantic language in his writing as often as he can, much to the chagrin of technical writers who want nothing to do with his linguistic dramatism.

Beyond his professional capacities, he enjoys snowboarding, golfing, champagne, traveling, and finding delicious new places to eat. He lives in Rochester, NY with his darling partner Cory, a cat named Jack, and two rabbits, Eggs and Benedict.
